So, Tropical Storm/Depression Hernesto was a complete and total bust. And it seems to have screwed up the weekend plans to go camping on Cumberland Island, GA. Of course, this might have been a blessing in disguise as the temperatures are suppose to reach the 90’s over the weekend. So.. We’ll wait and do it another month or so down the road when things cool off. Sorry to all of those waiting for some nice photos, there will be more soon.

On a sidenote, the storm did give me Wednesday off of class. So when combined with the weekend I get almost a week off again. You have to love that! Shame it’s moving to fast to push any waves down for a good surf session. NEXT!

Sunset is the best time to appreciate what mother nature has built. As the sun falls and the photographers gather, mother nature turns on the spectacle. The buttes start to glow a fiery red color, and the whole landscape changes as the sky turns a dark blue. The thin atmosphere of the desert allows all the colors to soak into the landscape.

Of course, once the spectacle ends there is more to enjoy. Camping under the stars allows some of the best views of the heavens. So, be sure to try it for yourself!

Ahhh… One of the best places I have visited in my travels ~ Monument Valley, Utah. There is no mistaking once you enter the area, all those scenes you’ve seen played on TV are dancing right in front of your eyes. The buttes jut out of the ground; each one begging for your attention. From a distance they don’t look all that large until you set out on foot around the base of one. This was taken in one of the many washes that surround the butte.

So, it’s official today – I’m one year older. I’ve hit the 29 mark, one step away from another milestone in life (I guess). I find myself excited by things to come, and I think I’ve made a few good accomplishments along the way. Yes, I have wasted some time, but I feel it was worth the diversion to experience all that life offers. The big question now; What’s in store?

The School Plan: I have two more semesters left at Valencia Community College until I graduate with my second Associates degree. Then the plan is to move to UCF and work towards a Bachelors. But, I’m still undecided on the final direction in which I will move. Hopefully I will come to a decision soon!

The Work Plan: At the moment I am doing very well working for myself, so I might continue to embrace the freedom and find some more clients to support myself and build a comfortable base. I’d like to find some more “fun” projects to work on and expand the portfolio beyond what I have. It’s a very interesting time to be a designer/photographer, so I’d like to find ways to make contribution into the field.

The Life Plan: I’m just going to keep riding the waves of life and see where I end up. I want to do a lot of traveling over the next few years, before it comes time to settle down. Also, I want to see myself take some bigger steps into the career. Otherwise, I like the direction I’m headed and I’m excited to see what is around the corner.

Finally… I couldn’t tell you how long this website has been in production. I believe I started it back before I moved to Orlando, so at least two years old. It was one of those where I designed the template for them, and we’ve slowly added the content as time goes by. And today I am proud to announce that the website is finally nearing completion and ready to be officially launched. So, without further ado, here is Dunkelberger’s new site: Dunkelberger Engineering
